Mary Fortier — Dedicated Advocate & Re-elected State Representative
Mary Fortier is the Democratic State Representative for Connecticut’s 79th Assembly District, serving Bristol and Forestville. A lifelong Bristol resident and former Bristol City Council member, she brings deep community roots and decades of public service to Hartford. Fortier serves as Assistant Majority Leader and House Vice Chair of the Aging Committee, and is active on the Higher Education & Employment Advancement and Human Services committees.
Mary's Story
During her time in office, she has helped secure state grant funding for local projects, strengthened mental health parity protections, supported open space preservation and community improvements, and championed efforts to reduce energy costs and expand opportunities for students through scholarship programs.
